Albert Phillips

Albert Troy Phillips, Sr., 87, of Georgia, formerly of Piney Fork, Ohio, died Friday, May 16, 2014 . Mr. Phillips was born in Bellaire, Ohio, a son of the late Troy Phillips and Opal Brock Dean. He was a retired Foreman from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp, with more than 30 years of service. He and his wife moved to Georgia over twenty years ago. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, William Statzer. Surviving are his loving wife of sixty years, Lelah Faye Wolfe Phillips of Georgia; daughters, Karen (Russell) Iler of Piney Fork, Pauline Best of Jefferson, Pam (Terry) Fulton of Cadiz; a son, Albert Troy (April) Phillips, Jr. of Mingo Jct.; his faithful bulldog, Sadie; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandson. Services will be held Sunday June 22 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bellaire Dock in Bellaire, Ohio. A graveside service will be held Monday, June 23 at 5:30 p.m. at Northern Cemetery, Smithfield, Ohio.
