Ann Catherine Persinger, 91, of Hopedale, formerly of Mt. Hope, West Virginia, passed away on October 19, 2025, at home with her family by her side. She was born on February 25, 1934, in Logan, West Virginia to the late LeRoy and LaVera Ball Piersall.
Ann grew up in Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia. She was a member of the Mason United Methodist Church for many years. She was also an Eastern Star. She and her husband, Arnold, loved Western square dancing, and traveling to Florida together. For the last couple of years, Ann lived with and got to spend time with her daughter in Hopedale.
Ann was preceded in death in addition to her parents by her son, Donald McKinny; siblings, Betty (Joseph) Piersall-Lish, LaVera (Charles) Piersall-Yeager; nephew, Edward Lish; and niece, Lisa Lish-Thorne.
She is survived by her husband, Arnold Persinger of Mt. Hope, West Virginia; daughter, Deann (Mike) Fenton-Pratt of Hopedale; nieces, Josetta (Larry) Lish-Noble, Donna (Robert) Lish-Knapp, and Sally (Ralph) Yeager-Ross; nephew, Marty (Susan) Yeager; grandson, Robert Stone; and several great grandchildren, great nieces and great nephews.
Per her wishes, a memorial service will be held sometime in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Mason United Methodist Church, 2183 South 2nd Street, Mason, West Virginia 25260.
