Cathy Wells

Cathy Marie Wells, 55, of Cadiz, died Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at UPMC Montefiore Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was born March 14, 1959 in Wheeling, West Virginia a daughter of Wanda Cordner Brown Thompson and the late Delmas Brown. She was a self employed Beautician and Barber at the Hair Shack in Cadiz; a Beautician at the former Hair Haven in Cadiz; an avid card player and a 13 year liver transplant survivor she was greatful to her liver donor for her extra years of life. She was preceded in death in addition to her father; by her companion, Mark Maxwell; special aunt and uncle, Marie and John Sproul and 2 cousins: John Sproul, Jr. and Bill Sproul. She is survived by her daughter, Chelsea (Corey) Currence of Cadiz; mother and stepfather, Wanda and Myron Thompson of Cadiz; brother and sister-in-law: Gary and Joyce Brown of Cadiz; 2 step-sisters: Cathy (Lynn) Murral of Rice's Landing, Pennsylvania and Sondra (Paul) Jones of Cadiz; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Calling hours will be held Thursday, August 28 from 2-4 and 6-8 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz where funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Alvin Maxwell officiating. Burial will follow at Cadiz Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to CORE, 204 Sigma Drive, RIDC Park, Pittsburgh, PA 15238 who aided in her liver transplant.
