Charles Fithen

Charles W. Fithen, 66, of Georgetown, Ohio, died Friday, July 19, 2019 at Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling. He was born August 29, 1952 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a son of the late William L. Fithen and the late Florence S. Flossie Speer Fithen Mason. Chuck was a Methodist by faith. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a coach for Biddy League Football and Little League Baseball in Cadiz. He was employed in the Maintenance Department of Belmont College in St. Clairsville and Cadiz. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-father, Howard Mooch Mason, his step-mother, Lucille Pollock Fithen, and an infant daughter, Sondra. Surviving are his wife, Rose Straight Fithen; two daughters, Sara Fithen and Bridgette (Ryan) Bundy; a son, Doug (Jessica) Fithen; six grandchildren, C.J., Nikita, Davis, Avery, Katie and Ashley McCardle; and a great grandson, Maverick. Friends may call Monday, 6-8 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Pete Tuchek officiating.
