Charles E. Snyder

Charles Edward Snyder, 83, of Wintersville, passed away on August 20, 2026 at Trinity West in Steubenville, Ohio. He was born November 6, 1942 in Jewett, Ohio a son of the late William Edward and Elizabeth Dunlap Snyder.

Charlie was a member of the Wintersville Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death in addition to his parents; by a son, Richard Edward Snyder; a daughter, Kim Conlon; his siblings: Robert Snyder, Ruby Boyer, Grace Cheuvront and Gerri Clore’ along with 4 nephews and 2 nieces.

Survived by his wife of 44 years, Vivan Gefeller Snyder; his children:, Melissa Snyder-Yopa (Frank) of Yorkville, Michael Snyder of Royal Oaks, Michigan, Jerald Snyder (fiancé, Deanna Thomas) of Elwood City, PA , Michelle (Russell) Renner of Columbus, Crystal Garcia of Dunnellon, Florida and Duayne (Carol) Dailey of Coatsville, PA; grandchildren: Matt (Megan) Snyder, Chelsie (Ryan) Crawford, Marissa (Zack) Novak, Ryan Snyder, Anna Snyder, Randy Snyder, Kendall Snyder, Heather (Michael) Malcolm, Brianne (Josh) Conlon, Michael (Danielle) Dailey, Katherine\Alex (Josh) Rojas, Margaret (Michael) Renner, William Garicia and Jennifer Garcia; 14 great grandchildren; siblings: Leonard (Beverly) Snyder of Wellston, Marlene (Donnie) Darr of Newcomerstown and Darlene (Jeffrey) Magers of Newcomerstown; many cousins, nieces and nephews, along with his beloved dog, Clinton and his beloved cat, Ellie Mae.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 until the time of his funeral service at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Clint Quillen officiating at Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home, Cadiz, Ohio. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery, Hopedale, at the convenience of the family.
