Cindy Basnett

Cynthia E. “Cindy” Basnett, 70, of Adena, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at her home. She was born August 18, 1953 in Wheeling, West Virginia a daughter of the late Frank and Virginia Sobleski Dosen.

Cindy was a 1971 graduate of the Adena Golden Wave and then went on to get her Associates Degree. She retired as a social worker for Head Start. She was Catholic by faith and was a member of the Adena American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her daughter Kim (Chris) Vich of Cadiz; Bubbie to her 2 grandchildren that were the loves of her life, Dawson and Kaydence Vich; her brother, Ronnie Dosen of Adena; her sister, Joyce Sawko of Adena; a number of nieces and nephews including: Chad (Shannon) Sawko and Corisa (Drew) Case that she was very close with.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family is being assisted by Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home, Cadiz, Ohio.
