Darlene Kay Howes

Darlene Kay Howes, 70, of Cadiz, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at the Valley Hospice Center North in Steubenville, Ohio. She was born April 29, 1956 in Martins Ferry, Ohio a daughter of the late Edward D. and Yvonne G. Culver Snyder.

Surviving is her husband Gary Howes, that she would have celebrated 43 years of marriage with in October; her children: Jeremy Howes, Gina (Jonathan) Goffoli and Kelly (finace’ Michael) Howes; granddaughters: Phoebe, Daphne and Sylvie; and her brother, Edward (Cindy) Snyder of Wintersville, Ohio.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents; by a sister, Karen Gaines and a brother, Larry Snyder.

Darlene was a retired cook, having worked at the Cadiz Country Club.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 from 2-4 and 7-9 and Wednesday, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of her funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home, Cadiz with Rev. Philip Spellman officiating. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
