Dave Dunlap, Sr.

Dave Dunlap, Sr., 80, of Hopedale died Friday, June 28, 2013 at Gables Care Center in Hopedale. He was born September 30, 1932 in Cadiz, Ohio a son of the late Clyde B. and Helen Greer Dunlap. Dave was a member of the Harrison Hills United Pentecostal Church, a retired coal miner for Y & O Coal Company and an Army Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Hopedale American Legion and the VFW. Dave was preceded in death in addition to his parents by a daughter, Sheila Kay Pratt; 6 brothers: Chant, Floyd, Clifford, James, John, and Roy Dunlap; and 7 sisters: Shirley Sterling, Mabel Dunlap, Edith Liggett, Leonda Liggett, Elizabeth Snyder, Mary Atkins and Mildred Decominada. He is survived by 2 sons, David "Bud" (Vickie) Dunlap of Jewett and Timothy (Tabetha) Dunlap of Wooster; 4 daughters, Christine (Rev. James) Stark of Blacklick, Ohio, Peggy (Buster) Willis, Jr. of Lovington, NM, Tracy (Chuck) Duke of Columbus and Beth (Jim) Thornton of Houston, Texas; son-in-law, Michael Pratt of Hopedale; the mother of his children, Regina Dunlap of Hopedale; 17 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and a brother, Lloyd "Wimp" (Cindy) Dunlap of Zanesville, Ohio.
