David W. Sechrest

David W. Sechrest, 64, of Scio, Ohio, passed away on January 27, 2026, at Trinity Medical Center West. He was born on August 29, 1961, in Bellaire, Ohio, to the late Jack and Martha Sechrest.

Dave loved being outdoors. He loved animals, especially his 2 dogs and 5 cats that he treated like family. He also enjoyed attending events and socializing with people at the House of the Sheperd Church in New Athens.

Dave is survived by his wife, Twila Ronevich; son, Matthew Sechrest; brothers, Jack (Nancy) Sechrest and Charlie (Mary Ann Kiss) Sechrest; stepchildren, Christopher Toole and Ashley (Larry) Gibson; sister-in-law, Tina (Lanny) Sterms; step-grandchildren, Nathaniel Toole, Vada Greer, Ellie Gibson and Gannon Gibson; 1 granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, with visitation from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 5:00 p.m. with Rev. Pete Tuchek officiating at Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home in Cadiz.
