Donald Ashcraft

Donald N. Ashcraft, 76, of Cadiz, died Friday, August 31, 2012 at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz. He was born October 20, 1935 in Wyatt, WV, a son of the late Paul and Mamie Nay Ashcraft. Mr. Ashcraft was a retired Coal Miner from Y. & O. Coal Company and a lifelong member of the Cadiz American Legion. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David Ashcraft; a brother, Earl Ashcraft and a sister, Dorothy Jean Ashcraft. Surviving are his wife, Athlyn "Toots" Evans Ashcraft; two daughters, Karen (Thomas) Spoonemore of Hopedale and Lisa Ashcraft of Cadiz; two grandchildren, Breanna and Jeremy Spoonemore; a niece and a nephew. Friends may call Tuesday, 11-2 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Cadiz Union Cemetery.
