Donald Rose

Donald D. Rose, 61, of Cadiz, died Thursday at his home. He was born May 21, 1953 in Dennison, Ohio, a son of the late Raymond D. and Dolly A. Dosson Rose. Don was member and Elder of the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Harrisville. He was a former employee of the Y.&O. Coal Company, R.&F. Coal Company and was a former truck driver. He retired after fifteen years as the Bus Mechanic for the Tuscarawas Valley Local Schools. He was an Archer Township Trustee for eighteen years. He was a member of Harrison Lodge 219, F. Canton Commandery No. 38 in Canton, OH; Chapter 171, RAM; Tuscarawas Council 109 and the Grand Council of Royal and Select Masons of Ohio. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter. Surviving are his wife, Sandra Spragg Rose; children, Erin (Brian) Wells of Union, KY, Kelly (Brian) Adkins of Stone Ridge, VA, Cory (Rachelle) Rose of Chesapeake, VA, Holly (Daniel) Gross of Fayetteville, NC, and David (Melissa) Smith of Cleveland Heights, OH; thirteen grandchildren; two brothers, Dale (Cathy) Rose and Darwin (Cookie) Rose, of Cadiz; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Tuesday, 2-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, 172 S. Main St., Cadiz, Ohio. A Masonic Service will be held Tuesday at 6:30 in the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church, Harrisville, Rev. David Lee will officiate. Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
