Doris Anna Reed, 69, of Jewett, died Friday, November 6, 2009 at the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville. She was born February 12, 1940 in Mutual, PA, a daughter of the late John H. and Anna Klementic Ward. She was a member of the Wintersville Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was a homemaker and an eldercare giver near Jewett and Hopedale, and was devoted to her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Paul Michael Reed. Surviving are her husband, Thomas Reed; two sons, Thomas Reed of New Alexandria, OH and Leroy (Cheryl) Reed of Jewett; two daughters, Melissa (William) Davidson of Jacksonville, FL and Melody (Brian) DeWalt of Jewett; sixteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a brother, James Ward of Bloomingdale and two sisters, Wanda Exline of Kilbuck and Virginia Beckley of Carrollton. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-9 and Wednesday from 10 until time of service at noon at the Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz. Bishop James Harlan will officiate.
