Earl James Haubenreiser

Earl James Haubenreiser, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at his summer home in New Athens, Ohio. He was born in West Springfield, MA to Walter and Marian Field Haubenreiser.

He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1948 and served time in Japan. After discharge, he returned to West Springfield where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and worked for Mass Mutual Insurance Company until retirement.

After retirement he spent winters in Hutchinson Island, Florida and summers in West Springfield. Earl enjoyed golfing, swimming and when in West Springfield going to the health club.

Earl was preceded in death by his first wife, Josephine Jasinski Haubenreiser, to whom he was married for over 60 years.

He is survived by his 2nd wife, Judy Secrest and many nieces and nephews.

A private burial will take place at the convenience of the family at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Springfield, Vermont. The family is being assisted by Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home, Cadiz, Ohio.
