Edith Ball Taylor

Edith Moore Ball Taylor, passed away July 14, 2023 on her 101^st birthday. Born in Belmont, Ohio a daughter of the late Willard and Bessie Neuhart Moore. Edith was the oldest of 11 children.

Edith was a member of the Deersville United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed her girls and family, pie baking, grilling, knitting, flower gardens and family gatherings. She was a graduate of Belmont High School; worked as receptionist for Dr. Charles Evans and Canton Chiropractic Clinic; was the owner/operator of the former Ball Motel; Deersville Garden Club and Quilters. She made each of the grandchildren a quilt and loved to playing canasta. She was affiliated with the Deersville Theatre and loved going to the Air Force Reunion each year. 

In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her first husband, George Ball; her second husband, Harry Taylor; a brother, Jack Moore; her sisters: Gladys Fogle, Sarah Harbin and Helen Cambel; step-daughter, Cheryl Ann Gravo and a grandson, Bill Huntsman. 

Surviving are her 2 daughters: Carol (Bob McCarty) Ficken of Cuyahoga Falls and Peggy (Randy) Walker of Colerain; 5 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren;  12 great great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren; a step-son, Randy (Carolyn Marn) Taylor of Sacramento, California; a brother, Jim Moore of Galloway; 5 sisters: Connie Enzweiler of Wilmington, Eileen Friede of St. Clairsville, Maxine, Suzie Monosky of Powell and Gloria Simpson of Orville, Ohio. 

Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 24 from 2-4 and 6-8 at Deersville United Methodist Church and again on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mike Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery, Hendrysburg, Ohio. The family is being assisted by Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home, Cadiz, Ohio.

The family is asking for memorial contributions to the Deersville United Methodist Church.
