Edwin Barcroft, Sr.

Edwin E. Barcroft, Sr., 93, of Cadiz, died Friday, November 8, 2013 at the Carriage Inn of Cadiz. He was born August 21, 1920 in Freeport, Ohio, a son of the late Edward C. and Mary Bell Milliken Barcroft. Edwin was a member of the Hopedale Church of Christ and a former member and helped to build the Cadiz Church of the Nazarene. He was a retired mechanic from Cadiz Body Works, also having worked at Charles Henson Ford, Downtown Motors in Canton and was a former truck driver for W.L. Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Lyons Barcroft; a son William Barcroft, Sr.; six sisters and a half brother. Surviving are three sons, Edwin Barcroft, Jr., Robert (Rhonda) Barcroft, and Joe (Sally) Barcroft; two daughters, Janet Spaar and Nancy Ott, and a daughter-in-law, Helen Barcroft, all of Cadiz; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and his pet Conure, Shelby. Friends may call Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at 1:00 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home. Brother Dean Blythe will officiate. Burial will follow at Cadiz Union Cemetery.
