Eloise Thompson

Eloise Thompson, 95, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, formerly of Cadiz, passed away on October 19, 2026, at Wheeling Hospital. She was born on April 12, 1931, in Unionport, Ohio to the late Glenn and Frances Osburn.

Eloise worked as a legal secretary at Beetham Law Firm for many years. Upon retirement, she worked as a nanny and enjoyed caring for LillyKate and Matthew. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Cadiz for many years and after moving to St. Clairsville she attended the First Presbyterian Church of St. Clairsville.

Eloise was preceded in death in addition to her parents by her son-in-law, Paul Jones, sister, Kathleen Johnson, and 2 brothers, Billy Osburn and Neil Osburn.

She is survived by her daughters, Sondra Jones and Cathy (Lynn) Murral; 4 grandchildren, Andrew (Jessica) Bates, Tanile (Mark) Dulkoski, Cari (Meghan) Murral, Clayton (Mary) Murral; and 6 great-grandchildren, Cameron Aughinbaugh, Sabrina Murral, Summer Murral, Paxson Murral, Sawyer Murral, and Wyatt Murral.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Homer Harden officiating at Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home, Cadiz. Burial will follow at Unionport Cemetery.
