Gail I. Dewalt

Gail Irene Dewalt, 78, of Cadiz, Ohio, passed away on October 16, 2025, at Gable’s Care Center in Hopedale. She was born on November 13, 1946, in Carrollton, Ohio, a daughter of the late William and Frances (Maple) White.

Gail grew up in Carrollton and was a graduate of Carrollton High School. She married the love of her life, Anthony Lewis “Lew” Dewalt on February 11, 1966. The two went on to create their family with two daughters and later welcomed a granddaughter they adored. Gail was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She adored her family and was extremely proud of her girls. She followed them throughout their school careers, serving as a softball coach and most notoriously a band mom supporting all of their musical events and adventures. She also enjoyed bowling and bowled in a league for over 20 years.

She is survived by her husband, Anthony Lewis “Lew” Dewalt; daughters, Beth Ann Dewalt and Melissa (Dave) Dewalt; granddaughter, Olivia Grace (River) Dewalt; and a sister, Dee Ann Perry.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Paul Giffin officiating, all at Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home in Cadiz. Burial will follow at Cadiz Union Cemetery.
