Helen Hayest

Helen G. Hayest, 95, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Cadiz, Ohio, died Monday, December 8, 2014 at the Convalarium of Dublin. She was born May 21, 1919 in Cadiz, a daughter of the late Donald and Hettie Baker Grimes. Mrs. Hayest was a former member of the Drummond United Methodist Church and the Harrison Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star before moving to the Columbus area. There, she volunteered at The Ohio State University Medical Center. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Frank A. Hayest on May 15, 1978; two brothers, Richard and Donald Grimes; and three sisters, Ruth Wurstler, Wilma Bobo and Marjorie Souders. Surviving are two daughters, Melissa (Mark) Bean and Susan (John) Kozlowski and two granddchildren, Elizabeth "Betsy" Bean and Joseph Kozlowski, all of Dublin. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, with Rev. Richard Hasley officiating. Burial will be in Cadiz Union Cemetery.
