Homer J. Plymire, 53, Jewett, Ohio, formerly of Akron, died Thursday, December 27, 2007 at his home. He was born January 7, 1954 in Wilmington, Ohio a son of the late Clayton and Esther Freeman. He was a disabled truck driver and welder, and an Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era. He coached softball for the FPGSSA for nine years, and was a volunteer with the Akron Public Schools for ten years, where he won the Silver Acorn Award. He was an avid hunter, bowler, fisherman and family man. He was preceded in death in addition to his parents, by a daughter Casey Plymire, and a sister Bonnie Hornsby. He is survived by his wife Patti Radabaugh Plymire; 2 daughters: Bobbi Bailey and Katie Plymire both of Jewett; a son, Frank J. Twiggs of Tennesee; 4 grandchildren: Camryn, Piper, Lex and Asa; 3 brothers; Charles Plymire of Loveland, Ohio, Harley Plymire of Hartville, Ohio, and Virgil Plymire of Akron, Ohio; and a sister, Virgene Malone of Arcanum, Ohio. Friends may call Sunday, 3-5 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, 172 S. Main St., Cadiz, Ohio, where funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. with the Revs. Ronnie and Reggie Young officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Jewett, Ohio.
