John M. Raymond

John M. Raymond, 75, of Cadiz, Ohio, passed away on February 1, 2026, at his home. He was born on May 16, 1950, in Wheeling, West Virginia to the late Ernest E. and Edith M. Veto Raymond.

John obtained his Bachelor of Education from Ohio University. He began his teaching career at the former St. Casimir’s Catholic School in Adena in 1973. He then taught for Harrison Central Junior High until his retirement in 2008. He was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Harrisville. John loved to golf. He was a family man and especially enjoyed spending time with and attending events for his grandchildren.

John is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sue Leach Raymond; daughter, Kim (Vance) Pulley; son, J.T. (Tasha) Raymond; grandchildren, Trey, Vance, Kinley and Addi Pulley and Charlee, Maria and Livi Raymond; and sister, JoLee Donahue.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home in Cadiz. Visitation will also be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the Covenant Presbyterian Church, 49319 Cadiz-Harrisville Road, Harrisville, Ohio 43974, with Minister Barry Hall officiating the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Covenant Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 16, Harrisville, Ohio 43974.
