Joseph Chesla

Joseph Michael Chesla, 77, of Cadiz, died Sunday at Trinity Medical Center, West, Steubenville, Ohio. He was born December 2, 1924 in Duncanwood, Ohio, a son of the late Walter and Mary Jurzec Chesla. He was retired Engineer at the Georgetown Preparation Plant, Consolidation Coal Co., Cadiz, Ohio. He was a member of the Ohio Club of West Pasco, FL and of the United Mine Workers Union. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Chesla. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Helen Beckley Chesla; 2 sons, Mike and his wife, Barb of Cadiz and John and his wife, Lorri of Cadiz; 4 grandchildren: Andy, Allison, Chris and Courtney Chesla; a great grandson, Blake Chesla; and a sister, Stella Bedell of Clarksburg, WV. Friends may call Tuesday, October 1, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Craig Haney officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Memorials Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
