Joyce Maxwell

Joyce P. Carothers Maxwell, 75, of Cadiz, died Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Lifeline Hospital in Wintersville. She was born October 9, 1940 in Cadiz, a daughter of the late Bennie Carothers, Sr. and Violet M. Steiner Carothers. Joyce was an active member of the First Apostolic Church in Cadiz for over 65 years. She was a retired Nurses Aid at the Carriage Inn of Cadiz. Her church and her family were her life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Carothers, and a sister, Mildred Michelli. Surviving are a son, Roy (Carla) Maxwell; two daughters, Vicki Maxwell and Pam Evans, all of Cadiz; four grandchildren, Nichole, Alicia, Cody and Nathan; two great grandchildren, Noah and Garrett; a brother Bennie (Joan) Carothers, Jr.; her lifelong best friend/sister, Shirley (Randy) Ball of Cadiz; and her beloved dog, Sassy. Friends may call Saturday from 4-7 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 11:00 a.m. at the First Apostolic Church, 158 N. Ohio St., Cadiz, with Rev.
