Karen Hollaway, 69, of Hopedale, Ohio, died peacefully at home on January 5, 2026, surrounded by her husband and 2 children. She was born on August 1, 1956, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, to the late Paul and Virginia Hutton.
Karen worked as a Nurse Aide for many years at the Carriage Inn and then in home health services. Karen loved being outdoors. She especially enjoyed tending to her beautiful flowers. She also enjoyed gardening and canning. Karen loved helping her husband with projects in his workshop, always working hard as the sander.
She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by her daughter, Bobbi Jo Streets, and a sister, Beverly O’Hara.
Karen is survived by her husband of 47 years, William Hollaway, Sr.; daughter, Jennifer (Ryan) McCann; son, William (Brandi) Hollaway, Jr.; step-daughter, Amy Hollaway; grandchildren, Joseph Streets, Jeremy Streets, Austin McCann, Clayton McCann, Callan Hollaway and Ada Hollaway; 3 step-grandchildren; brother, Charles (Terri) Hutton; sisters, Renee (Dan) Maffit, Janet Mills and Pauline Kelley; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
