Larry Dale Leach, 69, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. He was born on November 2, 1956, in Wheeling, West Virginia, to the late Thomas P. Leach and Sarah "Mabel" (Lough) Spragg.
Larry was a graduate of Cadiz High School and went on to earn associate degrees in Computer Science and Accounting from Belmont Technical College. He worked at Julian and Grube.
Larry was a devoted family man who always stood behind and supported the people he loved. His family was a central part of his life, and he took great pride in being there for them. He also enjoyed serving as the scorekeeper for St. Pete's girls' basketball team, a role that allowed him to share in the excitement of the game and support the young athletes.
Outside of family and basketball, Larry had a deep passion for Civil War history. He was an avid Civil War buff who enjoyed learning about and exploring this important chapter of our nation's past. These interests, along with his unwavering support for his family, were meaningful parts of the life he lived and the memories he leaves behind.
Left to cherish Larry's memory are his brother, Thomas "Terry" (LuAnn) Leach; his sister, Sue Raymond; his stepsisters, Cindy (Ken) Skapik and Sandy Rose; his nieces, Tiffany (Rob) Sensel and Kim (Vance) Pulley; his nephew, J.T. (Tasha) Raymond; one great-nephew and six great-nieces; and his extended family, Brian (Carrie) Schroeder, Stephanie Schroeder, Tristan (Kelly), Cheyenne, Lauren, Natasha, Lainey, Peyton, and Alex.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Leach; his sister-in-law, Jane Leach; his brother-in-law, John Raymond; his stepfather, Thomas Spragg; and his stepbrother, Tommy Spragg.
The family will hold a private graveside service at Mansfield Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 49325 Cadiz-Harrisville Road, Harrisville, Ohio.
