Larry D. Phillips, 68, of Cadiz, Ohio, passed away on March 31, 2026, at the Cleveland Clinic following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on June 22, 1957, in Dover, Ohio, a son of Delmar Phillips and Alice Bragg.

Larry worked in the coal mines until he joined the Army National Guard. He was in the 1485th Transportation Company. During his 24 years of military service, he did a tour in Desert Storm as well as Iraqi Freedom. He then spent many years working as a cable operator for Verizon and Frontier. Earlier in life, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Larry was a member of the Cadiz First Church of God. He had a passion for farming and enjoyed spending days on the farm with his brother. He also loved sports, especially rooting for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Marie Shepherd Bragg; Grandma Phillips; brother, Monte Giesey; brother-in-law, Gene Adams; uncle, J. Roger Phillips; aunt, Joann Milarcik; as well as many other immediate family members who he has joined in eternal rest.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jackie Phillips; father, Delmar Phillips; mother-in-law, Audrey Brown; his children who he loved and adored, Lara Phillips, Jenna Hokes, Clay Phillips and Taylor Phillips; siblings, Roger E. (Tamie) Phillips, Sharry Jo Adams Phillips, Shena (Eric) Wyler, Tina Phillips and Scott Giesey; brother-in-law, Kevin (Pam) Brown; cherished aunt and dear friend, Dawna Phillips; loved nieces and nephews, Ammie, Lisa, Josh, Brandon, Lindi, Alyssa, Brae, Weston, Haisley and Kaila; fur baby, Bear the Mini Daschund; grandpup, Nyx; farming buddy, Jeff Blake; as well as many other cherished aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Larry’s name to the Harrison County Cancer Crusaders, 226 Charleston Street, Cadiz, Ohio 43907.
