Laura L Jones

Laura L Jones, 70, born in Cadiz, Ohio on November 8, 1953, went home to be with the Lord and family on December 20, 2023. She retired after 30 years from the Steubenville municipal court as the clerk of court. She was a devoted matriarch of her entire family. 

She was preceded in death by her mother Vivian P. Jackson and Lottie Belle West, in addition to her brothers and sisters, Deborah S. Strother of Cadiz, Thomas West of Akron, Allen West of Cadiz, Tina Strother of Texas, John West of Cadiz, and Jerri L Wilson of Cadiz.

Surviving are her 5 children, Belinda Jones, Mark Jones, Brian Jones, John (Duke) Jones and Christopher (Toney) Jones all of Steubenville; two sisters, Jeannette West-Strother of Texas, and Kelly Mason of Cadiz; her longtime partner of 30 years, Joseph Dokes of Steubenville; and a host of grandkids and great grandkids: Arica Jones (Tish’jhaya, Amiyah, Mariah) Cheyne (Rene) Taylor (Tavianna, Kyree, Kionte) Breanna (Jaylen and Alani) Brian Jr, Branden (Oaklynn) Brooklynn (Gianna) marquise (Jerin/Boogie) Jania, Korina, Pierce, Malcolm.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family is being assisted by Clark-Kirkland-Barr funeral home, Cadiz Ohio.
