Linda Rumbaugh

Linda Rumbaugh, 72, of Hopedale, passed away on January 24, 2026 at Valley Hospice Center North in Steubenville, Ohio. She was born March 2, 1953 in Akron, Ohio a daughter of the late John and Ruth Buffington.

Linda worked as a resource specialist at Hartacus. She loved cats and NASCAR.

In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Rumbaugh; her brother, John Henry Buffington and niece, Angela Bourdo.

Surviving are her sisters: Nancy Clegg (Tim) and Barb Buffington; nieces: Jennifer Clegg (Kevin Suboticki) and Maria Palumbo (Michael); great niece, Saedie Suboticki; great nephews Johnathan Sees and Anthony Sees; sister-in-law, JoAnn Buffington; great nieces: Zoe Rae Bourdo and Alivia Bourdo; and her best friend, Michelle Cox.

A graveside service will be held at Blue Ridge Cemetery on Monday, February 23, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. with Dean Blythe officiating. The family is being assisted by Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home, Cadiz, Ohio.
