Lois Brown

Lois Jane Brown, 85, of Cadiz died Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz. She was born March 9, 1928 in Adena, Ohio a daughter of the late John Charles and Caroline Fitzgerald Sargent, Sr. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Cadiz and was the retired owner/operator and book keeper for her dress shop in Cadiz. She was preceded in addition to her parents, by her husband Harry J. "Jack" Brown; a son, Jeff Merkel; a sister, Grace and a brother, John, Jr. She is survived by 2 sons: Tim (Pam) Merkel of Cadiz and Curt (Carleen) Merkel of Vermilion, Ohio; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. In keeping with her wishes a private service will be held at the convenience of the family with the Rev. R.J. Leek officiating. Burial will follow at Cadiz Union Cemetery.
