Mabel Carson Matthews, 82, Cadiz, died Satruday, November 24, at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz. She was born October 9, 1919, in Jefferson County, Ohio a daughter of the late Joseph and Ora Murray Carson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Scott United Methodist Church, Cadiz. She is survived by her husband, Louis James ''Buzz'' Matthews; 2 sons: Ron, Canton and Jack Lee, Westerville, Ohio; a daughter, Marilyn Magada, Warren, Ohio; 4 grandchildren; and 2 brothers: Murray of Bulter, Pa. and Robert of Irondale, Ohio. Calling hours are Sunday, 1-5 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz where services will be held Monday, November 26 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Robert Hooker officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery, Rayland, Ohio.
