Mark Smith

Mark W. Smith, 48, of Cadiz, died Sunday July 22, at Wheeling Medical Park. He was born August 23, 1952 in Martins Ferry, Ohio a son of Earl R. and Betty Waller Smith. He was the assistant Superintendent of Tappan Lake Park and attended the Pleasant Valley Methodist Church on Tappan Lake. He is survived in addition to his parents; by his wife Darla Taylor Smith of Cadiz; 2 sons: Mark and his wife Christina of Washington, D.C. and Clint of Cadiz; a daughter, Melissa Smith and her finace Wes DePriest of Kansas; a brother, Dick and his wife Yvonne of Steubenville; 3 Sisters: Linda Kelley and her husband Jim of Scio, Kay Coffee, Venice, Fla., and Jane Lippian and her husband Walter of Palm Coast, Florida; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Tuesday, July 22, 7-9 and Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Charles Mehl officiating. Burial follows at Fairview Cemetery, Jewett, Ohio.
