Mary Jane Abel

Mary Jane Abel, 76, of Cadiz, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025 at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville with her family by her side. She was born October 9, 1949 in Adena, Ohio a daughter of the late Leonard and Lila Schuct Stillwagon.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents; by her husband, Robert Lee “Bo” Abel; a son Robert Lee Abel, Jr.; siblings: Junior, Jim, Randy, Roy, Bonnie, Janet, Bev, Shirley and Ethel.

Surviving is her daughter, Jodi (Michael) Best; 2 sons: Michael (Megan) Abel and James Abel; grandchildren: Chelsea (Aaron) Ledger, Garrett Gump, Michelle (Robert) Beall, Alex Abel, Michael (Caitlin) Best, Jr., and Victoria Abel; great grandchildren: Aleeyah, Ayslee, Avril, Cooper, Emeri and Gunner; and siblings: Nancy and John (Janie).

Per her request, a private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place at Cadiz Union Cemetery. The family is being assisted by Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home, Cadiz, Ohio.
