Michael Wilt

Michael Henry Wilt, 80, of Cadiz, Ohio passed away July 6, 2023 at Harrison Community Hospital. He was born on May 26, 1943, a son of the late Walter C. and Catherine Minnie (Clark) Wilt.

Mike was the retired co-owner and operator of M&C Wilt Trucking. Mike's true passion was farming and every summer he could be found on a John Deere cutting, raking, or baling hay. Mike believed in hard work and always said there was no time for “Tom-foolery.” Mike also enjoyed teaching others how to operate and work on the farm machinery. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Wilt Jr; siblings: Rosie (Ken) Bingaman, Darwin (Kathy) Wilt, Daniel Wilt and Naomi (Richard) Policka. 

Mike is survived by his wife of 43 years, Cheryl Donovall Wilt; children, Billie Jo Allison (Ryan Stewart), Connie Rivera, and Brandy Wilt (Kevin Mallernee); sister, Eunice (Ron) Fassio; many grandchildren including his namesake Ross Michael(his little buddy) and great grandchildren and many friends who also suffer his loss.

Family and friends will be received at Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home, Cadiz, Ohio on Sunday July 9, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Pete Tuchek officiating. Mike will be laid to rest at Bethel Cemetery, in Jewett, Ohio.
