Nancy Thompson

Nancy Merryman Thompson, 73, Cadiz, died Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Acuity Specialty Hospital, Steubenville, Ohio. She was born March 18, 1940 in Cadiz, a daughter of the late John Kenneth and Neva E. Milliken Cope. Nancy was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of Christ in Cadiz. She was an avid card and bingo player and was a former member of the Cadiz FOE Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, David Allen Merryman, a brother, David Cope, and her former husband, Arnold "Louie" Merryman. She is survived by 2 sons: Daniel (Roberta) Merryman of Richfield, OH and Leonard Merryman of Cadiz; a sister, Doris Harris of Canal Fulton, Ohio; four grandchildren: Rob, Jake, Eric and Latonya; seven great grandchildren: Serena, Silvia, Destiney, David, Izayah, Jordi and Jose; and her former husband, James Thompson. Calling hours will be held Friday, January 3 from 2:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 5:00 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz with Paul Giffin officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Cadiz Union Cemetery.
