Nelson Sandy

Nelson Sandy, 71, of Cadiz, Ohio passed away on April 4, 2024, at the Meadows of Cadiz. He was born in Alton, West Virginia on June 16, 1952, to the late William and Mary Katherine Wilfong Sandy. 

He was a heavy equipment operator by trade. In his free time, he enjoyed being an avid outdoorsman. He loved spending his time in the woods hunting and on the water fishing. He was also an expert marksman. 

He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by his brothers, Truman, Dorsey, Glen, Hoye, Ronnie and Jerry Sandy; and sisters Wanda, Wilda, and Maxine. 

He is survived by his children: Deanna (Jay) Watkins and Joshua (Stacey) Sandy; brother, Macel Sandy; grandchildren, Ashley and Madison; sisters, Judy and Shirley;  as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Interment will take place at a later date at Cadiz Union Cemetery in Cadiz, Ohio.
