Nora Blankenship

Nora Kathleen ''Kate'' Blankenship, 85, Cadiz, died Friday, May 24, at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz. Kate was born March 17, 1917 in Jewett, Ohio a son of the late George D. and Frances Mary Conway Lucas. She was Lutheran by faith and a retired cook having worked at the Willow Restaraunt and former Airport Restaraunt. She also had worked at the former Scio Pottery Company. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Camden Blankenship in December of 1987 and a daughter, Mary Ann Sowers DiGenova. She is survived by 2 sons: Wayne Blankenship of Cadiz and Sam Carrouthers of Breeman, Indiana; 3 daughters: Linna Poole of Wintersville, Barbara Shannon and Candy Sickle both of Cadiz; 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; and a sister, Marguerite Flowers. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with Pastor Ted Davis officiating. Burial follows at Fairview Cemetery, Jewett, Ohio.
