Orven V. Ruckman, 84, Adena, Ohio died Monday, April 28, 2008 at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz, Ohio. He was born March 16, 1924 in Adena, Ohio a son of the late Claude and Mabel Furbee Ruckman. He was a retired coal miner having worked at the Saginaw Mine in St. Clairsville; a supporter of the Ohio State Highway Patrol; and Pentecostal by faith. He was preceded in death in addition to his parents, by 5 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by his wife, Donna Hayes Ruckman; 2 sons: Orven and Bobby both of Adena; a daughter, Missy Ruckman of Cadiz; 4 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, April 30 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz with Rev. Ray Ellenbaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Short Creek Cemetery, Georgetown, Ohio. The memorial guestbook may be signed at www.clark-kirkland.com.
