Patricia Smith

Patricia “Patty” Smith, 68, of Cadiz, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio. Patty was born April 12, 1957 in Martins Ferry, Ohio the daughter of the late Frank Badger and Jeanene P. Freeman.

Patty worked as a nursing assistant and was a member of the First Apostolic Church of Cadiz. She was a very giving person and always put others ahead of herself.

In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, James Smith and a sister, Diana White.

Surviving are her son, Chauncey Deron Jones (Celeste) of Cadiz; sisters: Christina Lea Jordan of Cadiz, Lisa Jackson of Sidney, Ohio and Tonya Tyler of Canton ; and brother, Irvin “Rusty” (Erica) Freeman of Temple, Texas; and a number of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Per her request, cremation has taken place. The family is being assisted by Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home, Cadiz, Ohio.
