Penny A. Mansfield Fluharty

Penny A. Mansfield Fluharty, 74, of Ravenna, Ohio, formerly of Cadiz, passed away on September 14, 2026, at her home. She was born on January 28, 1952, in Bowerston, Ohio to the late Harry Wayne and Emma Grace Dellinger Abel.

Penny was a cook at the Harrison County Home for many years and worked at the former Phoenix Restaurant in Cadiz. She especially loved cooking and baking for Sunday dinners with family. She loved playing darts, bowling, and gambling, especially at the Wheeling Island Casino. She was a member of the Cadiz Fire Department Auxiliary as well as the Cadiz American Legion Auxiliary. After she moved to Ravenna, she became a member of the Moose Lodge #1234 and the Ravenna Women of the Moose.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by her husband, Allen Fluharty; brothers, Michael Abel and Robert “Bo” Abel, and sisters, Yvonne Anno and Viola Keiffer.

She is survived by her children, Ernest C. “Zeke” (Edie) Mansfield, Jr. of Ravenna, Christopher M. “Spanky” (Jaynelle) Mansfield of Cadiz, , Melissa (Tony) Litman of Cadiz, and Rebecca (Andrew) O'Brien of Colorado; grandchildren, Chandler Mansfield, Victoria Mansfield, Brandon (Juli) Mansfield, Kayla (Jesse) Manbeck, Ashley (Dylan) Mansfield, Roni (Alivia) Caldwell, Max (Stephanie) Hall, T.J. and Jacob Kelly; 14 great grandchildren; brother, George Abel of Cadiz; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 2-4 & 6-8 at Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home, Cadiz. The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with Joyce Barr-Peters officiating at Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home, Cadiz. Burial will follow at Bethel Church Cemetery.
