Peter Paul Puskarich, Jr., 60, of Hopedale, Ohio passed Tuesday, October 29th, 2024 at Valley Hospice in Steubenville, Ohio surrounded by his loving family. Pete was born October 4th, 1964 in Wheeling, West Virginia, the son of the late Peter P. Puskarich, Sr., and Dorothy Garan Puskarich of Hopedale, Ohio.
Peter was 1984 graduate of the Wintersville High School. Pete accepted his high school diploma to a standing ovation in the St. John’s Arena in Steubenville, Ohio. Pete was known by many and loved by all. He did not know a stranger and greeted everyone with a smile. Pete’s smile could light up a room. If Pete knew you well, he would embrace you with a hug that would melt your heart and perhaps a gentle kiss on your hand along with a little wink!!
Pete loved music, (Elvis was has favorite), enjoyed reading magazines, the Sunday TV Times, Word Searches, Star Trek, and most of all anything related to Superman. In some circles, Pete was known fondly as Super Pete!! A name that Pete titled himself.
Peter Paul lived at Shaffer Plaza for nearly 11 years under the care and supervision of some super heroes in their own right!! Pete made great friends with his house mates as well as the staff, past and present. HE WAS LOVED!!
Pete loved his three protective brothers “to the moon”. Patrick, Philip, and Frank taught Pete life lessons (some good….and some bad) but they all agree that Peter taught them so much more about life. Pete had a few names, Little Buddy, Pete, Peter Paul, Super Pete, and Petey, but which ever title you gave Pete, you know he loved them all. Pete smiled, he hugged, and he was kind, but most of all Pete was our Legend!!
Pete is survived by his mother, Dorothy Garan Puskarich, three brothers whom he adored, Patrick (Wendy), Philip (Lesley), and Frank, all of Hopedale, Ohio, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
