Reginald Kenneth Boyer

Reginald Kenneth Boyer, of Cadiz, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2026, at the age of 74.

Reginald was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He shared 23 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Janet Eckley, who was by his side through the years and shared many of his favorite adventures.

He is survived by his children, Malcolm Boyer of Cadiz, Reginald (Gizz) Boyer of Cleveland, Tammy Pope Oulds of Columbus, Jamie Wilson of Cadiz, Jennifer Bethel of Cadiz, Brian Brooks of Cadiz, Becky Brooks of Florida, Mark Bailey of Cadiz, and Zack Eckley of Cadiz, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Reginald dedicated many years of his working life to serving others. He worked as chief steward at the Covnention Center of Cleveland for many years and later spent 15 years as a maintenance man at the Harrison County Home, from which he eventually retired.

Outside of work, Reginald enjoyed the simple things that made life special. He was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt. He could often be found sitting around a campfire, enjoying time outdoors or taking a ride on his golf cart. Some of his favorite memories were made at the casino with his wife Janet, and his daughter Jamie.

Reginald will be remembered for the life he built with his family, the time he spent outdoors, and many memories he created with the people he loved. His presence with be deeply missed, but his memory will live on through his family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He will be loved, remembered and missed always.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Steven Horner officiating at Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home in Cadiz.
