Rick Snyder

Richard Edward Snyder, 58, passed away unexpectedly, on August 29^th, 2023 in Steubenville, Ohio. He was born February 13, 1965, in Bellaire, Ohio a son of Charles E. Snyder and the late Charlotte L. (Sable) Bates.

Rick was a graduate of Cadiz High School and proudly served in the U.S. Army, where he attended and graduated from Army Jump School in Fort Benning, Georgia, and became a Green Beret. Rick loved to fish and spend time with family and friends.

Survived by son, Randall Snyder, daughter, Kendall Hawthorne, father, Charles E. Snyder and step-mother Vivian Snyder, sister: Melissa Snyder-Yopa (Frank); brothers: Michael Snyder and Jerald Snyder, (fiancé, Deanna Thomas), step brothers, step sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many nieces and nephews. Rick was especially fond of his Aunt Gerri, who had a huge impact on his life.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Kermit Hall officiating. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery, Hopedale, Ohio at the convenience of the family. Full military honors will be provided by the Hopedale American Legion at the funeral home.
