Rickey L. Erickson, Sr.

Rickey L. Erickson, Sr., 72, of Hopedale, Ohio, passed away on August 30, 2026, at his home. He was born on April 10, 1954, in Akron, Ohio, to the late Verner and Helen Septer Erickson.

He enjoyed golfing, fishing, was a collector of Lionel trains, and being with his family and grandchildren, and he loved his dogs: Max, Abby and Rex.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Richard Erickson and two sisters: Garda Smith and Carol Fisher.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sandra K. Erickson; four children: Susan (Scott) Redish, Rickey L. (Trish) Erickson, Jr., Cindy (Cory) Elliott and Steven Erickson; his brother, Herb Erickson; grandchildren: Dustin (Tori) Redish, Tyler (Rachel) Redish, Dylan (Baylee) Redish, Alexis (Clayton) Brightbill, Austin Erickson, Logan Elliott, Kaylee (Trevor) Arbogast, Brady Elliott, Colin Erickson, Lacee Erickson and Lance Erickson; great grandchildren: River and Rosabell Redish, Willow, Oak and Forest Brightbill and Lincoln and Meredith Arbogast; along with many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 3:00 p.m., until the time of his funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home, Cadiz with Paul Giffin officiating.
