Ricky S. Thatcher

Ricky S. Thatcher, 68, of Flushing, Ohio, passed away on October 22, 2026, at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, Ohio. He was born on July 30, 1958, in Barnesville, Ohio, to the late George and Minnie (Pollard) Thatcher.

Rick loved farming. He was a member of the Lafferty Moose Lodge #1462. He was also a member of the Flushing American Legion, Post #366. Rick also loved his dog who was like his little shadow, Gidget.

He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by his siblings, Barbara, Nancy and George; and father-in-law, Eugene Dunlap.

He is survived by his wife, Judy (Dunlap) Thatcher; 3 daughters, Heather (Rick) Withrow, Kim (Joe) Rinkes, and Rikki (Jason) Sells; grandchildren, Matthew, Riley, Bailey, Madi, Tyler and Ryann; great-grandchildren, Wesley and Wrenley; siblings, Donna (Dan) Smith, Vickie (Russell) Westfall, Mike (Jackie) Thatcher and Jim Thatcher; mother-in-law, Ann Dunlap; sisters-in-law, Betty Thatcher and Barbara Boyer; and many nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Flushing American Legion Post #366, 107 High Street, Flushing, Ohio 43977.
