Robert "Burp" Francis

Robert L. “Burp” Francis, 82, of Cadiz, formerly of Columbus, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023. He was born October 28, 1940 in Martins Ferry, Ohio a son of the late Lawrence Minter “Mike” and Grace Shaw Francis.

He was Presbyterian by faith and a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a former coal miner and worked in real estate.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Francis.

Surviving are a sister-in-law, Phyllis Francis of Cadiz, 2 nephews: John and James Francis and a niece, Jody Fletcher.

Per his request, cremation has taken place. A graveside committal of ashes will take place on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. with Military Honors by the Cadiz American Legion. The family is being assisted by Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home, Cadiz, Ohio.
