Rodney L. Freeman, 57, of Cadiz, died Tuesday at East Ohio Regional Hospital following a long illness. He was born January 17, 1958 in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of the late Samuel and Betty Jean Freeman. Surviving are his wife Sandra Blanchard Stewart Taylor Freeman; two daughters, Rodericka Johnson of Columbus and Ronnica Freeman of Cleveland; step-children, Shawn Stewart of FL, Yvonne Mitchell of Bellaire, Dawn Stewart and Heather Dokes, both of Martins Ferry; siblings, Jackie McCleadon of St. Louis, Fontella Coleman, Gibson Riley, Samuel Freeman (Sherry), Charles Freeman (Cheryl), Janice Riley, Jason Eric Freeman, and Gloria Riley, all of Cleveland and Sarah Anita McFell (Fred) of Strongsville; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Flora Riley Freeman and a brother Brian Freeman. Rodney enjoyed fishing and collecting cars.
