Ronald E. Maxwell

Ronald E. Maxwell, 80, of Cadiz, Ohio, passed away on February 19, 2026, at his home. He was born on July 22, 1945, in Uhrichsville, Ohio, to the late James Maxwell and Cleoda McKinney Maxwell Bennett.

Ronald joined the United States Army where he served in Vietnam. Upon being discharged, he enlisted in the United States Air Force to continue to serve his country.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Butcher Maxwell in 2010; stepfather, Cecil Bennett; 5 brothers: James L. Maxwell, Alvin Maxwell, Roy E. Maxwell, Vernon Maxwell and Mark Maxwell; and his sister, Ellenora Norris.

He is survived by 2 brothers: Kenneth (Rose) Maxwell of Cadiz, Ralph Maxwell of Scio; 2 sisters: Shirley Berdine of Wellsville and Norma Jean Conley of Germano, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. John Kotsanos officiating at Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home in Cadiz.
