Russell E. "Hoss" Eberhart

Russell E. “Hoss” Eberhart, 64, of Cadiz, Ohio, passed away on August 29, 2026, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia. He was born on March 20, 1962, in Dennison, Ohio, to Donald E. Eberhart and Nira Richards.

Hoss always loved everything to do with trucks. He enjoyed working on them and driving semi-trucks, which he did independently and with his family’s business Eberhart Trucking.

He was preceded in death in addition to his father by his sister, Sherry Eberhart.

Russell is survived by his husband, Adam Dillon; brother, Richard (Pennie) Eberhart; sister, Penny Gilbert; honorary brother, Jimmy (Barb) Schaeffer; many nieces, nephews, great niece, great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Honoring Hoss’s wishes, cremation will take place and no services will be held.
