Sharon Dowdle

Sharon Elaine Pettay Dowdle, 66, of Cadiz, died July 17, 2015 at the Carriage Inn of Cadiz. She was born May 5, 1949 in Wheeling, WV, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Ruby Ash Pettay. Sharon was a food service worker at the Carriage Inn of Cadiz and enjoyed playing card and dice games; music and dancing; and having a good time with family and friends. Surviving are her children, Brian and Lisa Dowdle, both of Cadiz; three grandsons, Darrin, Dillon and Austin Whitehurst; five brothers, Thomas Pettay of Reynoldsburg, Ronald Pettay of Cadiz, Dr. Stephen Pettay of Powell, Jeffrey Pettay of Bonham, TX, and Dr. Mark Pettay of Canal Winchester, OH; a sister, LuAnn Weethee of Hilliard, OH; and their families. Graveside services will be held Monday, July 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Cadiz Union Cemetery with Cindy Pettay officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.clark-kirkland.com.
