Sheri Lynn Wright

Sheri Lynn Ruckman-Wright, 68, of Freeport, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on December 9, 1957, in Bellaire, Ohio a daughter of the late Donald and Lena Emmel Ruckman.

Sheri was a homemaker. She adored her family and cherished any time that she got to spend with them. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, cousin and friend. She especially adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was so proud of each of them. She had such a giving nature and would help people however and whenever she could. Any time spent with Sheri was spent laughing, she had a contagious sense of humor and you were sure to smile be it from her witty cracks or comforting spirit.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents; by her husband, Albert Wright, III; 5 brothers: John Thomas Ruckman, Donnie Ruckman, Daryl “Pork” Ruckman, Jerry Ruckman and James Ruckman; and 2 sisters: Patricia “Patty” McAfee and Wanda McMillen.

Surviving is her boyfriend, Ramon Pena; son, Robert L. (Denise) Taylor, Jr; daughter, Leanna Wright; 5 grandchildren: Robert L. “Bobby” Taylor III, Albert Taylor, Lena Sutton, Aerial Sutton and Lita Sutton; many beloved great grandchildren: 2 sisters: Joy Lloyd and Marlene Hackney; and a numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home, Cadiz. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family at Greenwood Cemetery, Hopedale, Ohio.
