Velara Gardner

Velara Louise Gardner, 74 of Cadiz, formerly of Wheeling, died Friday, September 5, 2014 at the Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz, Ohio. She was born February 2, 1940 in Steubenville, Ohio a daughter of the late Donald Allen Peter and Alma Louise Williams Brown. She was preceded in death in addition to her parents, by a son Michael Todd Harris; 2 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by 2 sons: Curtis Harris of Cadiz and Kevin Jeter of Martins Ferry; a daughter, Carol Miller of Wheeling; a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a sister, Carol Green of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, September 9 from 2-4 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, Ohio. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
